We started raising sheep over 30 years ago. Originally it was a purebred Suffolk flock which was shown successfully throughout California. Next was a great experience with purebred Shropshires. These were shown throughout the U.S. and again with good results. When Erin started 4-H and her own sheep project we started moving into club lambs which now comprises our total operation.

Up to this point, we have only sold lambs to a few county fairs. Our lambs have done really well including Grand or Reserve at our county’s fair regularly and Grand Champion Open Carcass at the Santa Cruz County Fair on three occasions. We think with our recent success our lambs deserve to see the inside of many more County Fair arenas!
The goal of our program is to be competitive at livestock shows. To this end, we have been fortunate to purchase sheep from some of the most successful breeders of wether sire sheep for our breeding foundation- Leventini, Burch, Rule, Fitch, Farao, Layne, Ott. We are members the California Wool Growers, California Suffolk and Hampshire Association, Live Oak FFA Advisory Committee and Santa Clara County 4H. This plus attendance at jackpots and sales keeps us current with the trends and latest genetics.

Knowing what is required to produce honest, successful project lambs is important to us.  Ultimately we strive to supply healthy, well-made lambs that will make for a positive 4H/FFA experience.
